Ashtanga: Working Toward the Full Primary Series

A meduim to high intensity class (depending on student fitness level) designed to introduce students to the transformative power of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga! The harder poses of the traditional Primary Series have been removed from this class to support safety and mastery in doing yoga. At the same time, instructors may add poses from outside the AVY system to facilitate student advancement. This practice is complete in it's own right and students will feel the positive effects after the first class.

 *Students should be in good general health and able to bear weight on wrists and shoulders for this class .  Modified poses are taught so that everyone stays safe and comfortable.



Rocket 2

 An open invitation to all experienced yogis. If Ashtanga is serious classwork, the Rocket 2 is recess! A blend of advanced poses from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Class will begin when students are ready.
*Students must be comfortable in Ashtanga 2 or Primary Series class. No noobs!
